Yes. ClaimIQ operates as a third-party marketing services company, not as a referral service. The fees your firm pays are flat-fee marketing service subscriptions — they are not referral fees as defined under Rule 3.6-7 of the LSO's Rules of Professional Conduct, as they are not tied to any individual matter, its outcome, or fees generated. As with any business arrangement, we encourage firms to review the LSO's guidelines and consult their own professional advisors if they have specific compliance questions.
A referral arrangement involves one licensee directing a client to another with professional accountability attached. ClaimIQ is a marketing services vendor: we deliver assessed prospects — contact information and intake profiles for individuals who have expressed interest in PI legal representation. Your firm independently decides whether to pursue each prospect. No individual prospect is "referred" to you in the LSO sense of the word, and our compensation is entirely independent of what happens with any individual matter.
Your plan fee covers the delivery of assessed prospects — it is not contingent on conversion. However, because our assessment criteria are built on genuine PI legal judgment, our clients consistently report conversion rates well above what they experienced with other lead sources. If you receive a prospect that clearly falls below our published quality standard, contact your account manager and we will address it.
Most firms are onboarded and receiving prospects within 5 to 7 business days of application approval. We review all applicant firms to ensure they are a good fit for the volume and case types they've selected, and to avoid conflicts with existing regional clients on the same plan tier.
Each prospect is delivered to only one firm. We do not distribute the same prospect to multiple practices. At the Dominance tier, firms can also negotiate regional exclusivity, meaning no competing firm in your geographic market will receive prospects from ClaimIQ for the duration of your plan.
Plans are billed monthly. There is no long-term contract required to get started, though firms on the Dominance tier typically opt for a 6 or 12 month term to secure regional exclusivity. You can pause or cancel with 30 days' written notice.
